Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Happy Birthday 🎁 🎉🎈 Dr. Seuss! We celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday today. CHS students came and read to the students and brought them Dr. Seuss goodies!  Thank you to Shawn Marchant for making treats for all of 2nd Grade to help us celebrate!

Kindness Week

2nd grade enjoyed showing Kindness this week to special people. They wrote letters, made sidewalk chart art with encouraging notes, gave notes to other students at the school, and made cookies for our favorite lunch ladies and custodians.

2nd grade is so proud of our Science Fair winners! Congratulations to McKenzie Montague for 1st place in her age and area. Congratulations to Jaia Galas, Avery Wilkerson, Janna Shipp, Haley Robinson, and Hall Van Namen for receiving second in their areas and age group! You guys did an awesome job! 📝

 

     

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a Happy New Year! We've been getting back into the groove in second grade.  2nd graders are starting cursive, multiplication, and more this semester. It's an exciting time for sure!

2nd graders held a candy bar election. They went through the voting process.  They wrote speeches, made posters, and campaigned for their candy.  In ththe end Hershey won and Kit Kat was a close second. We also sang at long term care and have been learning subtraction with regrouping and much more.
